Angel - Galilea (2009)! By Robin and Thelma

Galilea was pure sweetness on earth. She had following of admirers and
hopeful adopters from people who met her at IG playdates and meet & greet
events.
There was just something special about Gali. She was all
puppy, but she absolutely loved to be held and cuddled.
She was
stricken with a devastating illness that first caused tremendous pain and
paralysis, and then when those remitted, caused muscle wasting, and liver
damage. She really tried to rally. She wanted to walk around and be
near the other dogs and people in the house. She dragged her wasted
hindquarters to walk up to you and ask to be picked up.
Through out
her weeks of severe illness her care team nursed her, held her, provided
syringed feedings when she could not eat herself, and held on to hope that
Gali's sweet enduring spirit would have a place on this earth with us.
When it became painfully clear that her body was beyond the point of
recovery, those who loved her the most made the sad decision to let her go.
She was in the loving arms of her foster mom, Isabel and surrounded by David
and Robin when she left.
We are all moping around missing her, but
still thankful we knew her and are touched by her spirit. We are also
thankful for the IGCA Rescue Committee that supported our efforts to
diagnose and treat this puppy, and gave us moral support in our grief.
